For everyone, it can be a very emotional time.

It is not always possible for those involved in a surrogacy journey to know what emotions and feelings will happen after the birth.

For most, it is a very happy and joyous time.

This might be the time when the future is discussed.

Issues like contact after birth and potential sibling projects are common discussions at this point.

Though these issues may have already been addressed earlier in the surrogacy, or even before the journey began, time, and the actual birth of the surrogate baby can change things.

It is important to go over these issues again, no matter how awkward.

Just keep an open mind and try not to let emotions rule your thoughts and conversations.
