Do surrogates have a better chance of getting pregnant?
I am 28 and officially starting the process of becoming a surrogate for my sister and her husband. I have 2 boys and had 2 great pregnancies, no miscarriages.
My sister had her tubes removed, medical reasons and has gone through 7 IVF cycles with no eggs attaching.
the fertility doctors have agreed that I should begin the process of preparing my body for the last cycles she has left. Do I have a greater chance of success because of my history with my own children or are the chances the same as when she recieved the IVF... My husband and I are done having children and we all will be attending some therapy sessions through the clinic.
Thanks, sister-love

As with all medical questions, you will need to discuss this with your IVF doctor. Speaking from pure instinct, I have always felt that a surrogate mother has a statistically better chance of becoming pregnant than an intended mother.
First, yes, a surrogate has already had her own children, uncomplicated, to even qualify for surrogacy. Most intended mothers turn to IVF because they are unable to become pregnant/sustain a pregnancy, not because they have had uncomplicated pregnancies.
Second, in most situations, a surrogate mother is younger than her intended mother.
So logically, yes, a surrogate mother has a better chance of becoming pregnant than an intended mother, in my opinion. But it is only that; an opinion. The industry does not separate out the rates of success with surrogate mothers vs all mothers who choose IVF.
Again, talk with your doctor.
