i had a complete hystorectomy can i still provide eggs so a surrogate could help me and my new husband carry a childi need answers
Reply by Rayven If you have had a complete hysterectomy, meaning they took everything INCLUDING the ovaries, you no longer have eggs, so no, you would not be able to use your eggs for your surrogate. You would need an egg donor AND a gestational surrogate, OR a traditional surrogate with NO egg donor.
If you had a partial hysterectomy and they left the ovaries, or even one ovary, yes, it is possible to use your own eggs, and very common in surrogacy. You would have to check with your doctor if you personal are able to do this.
