Helping a family member by being surrogate but dont want to use my own eggs.

I am considering offering to be a surrogate for a close family member. They are already considering surrogacy using the husbands sperm (the wife has no eggs). I would love to offer to be the surrogate as my own family is complete but i could only do it if i wasnt biologically related to the baby. So my question is - is it possible for them to use anonymous egg donation with the husbands sperm? And do you know how likely they would be to get donated eggs? I wouldnt want to offer something that would may set them back if it wud be quicker to have a surrogate willing to use their own eggs. Thanks in advance.

Actually, it is much quicker to find a surrogate mother who is not interested in using her own eggs than it is to find one who is.
What you are describing is quite common. Many intended parents opt for a gestational surrogacy with an egg donor instead of a traditional surrogate.
Finding an egg donor should not be a problem, but there will be costs involved. In addition to now funding an entire series of IVF as opposed to a simple office visit for artificial insemination, they will need to compensate the egg donor.
If costs are not an issue, then finding an egg donor is much easier than finding a surrogate mother. Do a google search for egg donation in your area.
