Laws regarding surrogacy vary state by state within the United States, and by country abroad.
In the United States, in several states such as California, it is entirely possible to become a single father through gestational or traditional surrogacy. You do not need a partner, and do not need to be any specific age, just a legal adult.

Hi I am a gay male who wants to have children more than anything, I want to be able to look at my child and know I helped to create such a beautiful being. I am currently a CNA and in nursing school. I don't know any girls willing to have a child for me because most have husbands or do not believe in gay parenting. I have plenty of money to care for a child especially when I finish school. But even when I am a RN and make great money I don't see how any single gay man can afford 40,000 - 120,000 for surrogate agencies. So what am I to do, because I know I am meant to be an amazing father.

The sad fact of the matter is, many people are involved in surrogacy who are either unbelievably clueless, or out for something unethical, whether that is to try and steal money or to try to get their jollies off.
We'll assume this poster is just clueless.
Ladies and gentlemen, sex is never, I repeat never, ever, under any circumstances, involved in any sort of surrogacy. If you are looking to become a traditional surrogate mother, it is done via artificial insemination.
Never respond to these types of people. Don't email them setting them straight, or asking for clarification, or sharing your opinion. Its not worth the hassle.
Stay safe. Learn from other's mistakes.

I am a single gay man 29 years old, I have been in relationships now for 9 years in which have now come to an end and I find myself single again... There is a huge demand for single males both gay and straight wanting to become dads. but without the hassle of maintaining a relationship and sharing custody.
A large number of gay males and females are marrying as straight in order to have kids. Once they have their kids they then come out as gay to become true to themselves and have children in the mix.
For single straight men it is a similar problem. My good friend has been marrying women with the hope of getting children but his desperation is like a green light to every gold digger, and bullying violent women in the neighbourhood. He has now given up on marriage/relationships and he is finding it difficult to even discuss the fact he as a single male divorcee wants to have a family. Adoption agencies do not look favourable on single males as prospective parents....it is still seen as strange or unnatural, especially by agencies with a religious backing/funding.
I will send him a link to your website and mention the idea the next time he brings up the issue.

Lately I have noticed the comments on this thread going from looking for a traditional or gestational surrogate mother to finding a woman to have a baby with. This is a SURROGACY website, not a dating service. There is NO sexual contact in surrogacy, nor are there any parental rights granted to a surrogate mother.
If you are looking for a traditional or gestational surrogate mother, please place an ad in our FREE classified ads board.
If you have a question pertaining to surrogacy for single men or women, or a comment for the original poster of this question, please post it here.
But if you are looking to "have a baby" with someone, please find a different website to discuss this with. That is not the intent of this website and such posts will be deleted.
Sorry to be so "mean" about this, but we really need to keep to the purpose of this website here.

I'm 41 year old married man. After seven years of marriage she told me she is not interested in having kids. I am looking for a woman who would be interested in gestational surrogacy and to keep a nice and ongoing relation with the mother so the child will have a mother too. I will raise the child and will pay for all the expenses, woman need not worry about about child support or anything else. You must pass background and drug test. I live in Champaign, IL.

Im a 32 year old male who feels exactly the samem i have all the right qualities in my life to be able to be a fantastic father but I too also would be looking for a woman to help me achieve my one and only goal in life that, i feel would make my life complete.
Its so hard getting the information for single men to be fathers that i am running out of avenues to follow...
