im looking in to being a TS i live in the uk and have had a wide range of veiws on how much it should be?

This website, Information on Surrogacy, primarily deals with surrogacy in the United States. The laws on surrogacy vary from country to country widely, and unless things have changed recently (and they very well may have, as I am not as familiar with the UK as the USA) then to my knowledge, receiving compensation for surrogacy, beyond regular pregnancy related expenses (which there is a cap on) is illegal.
