How Much Does It All Cost.

Im a 19 year old girl with a 36 yeat old partner we are looking into having a baby. i was 15 when i was told i couldnt carry children as to absent uterus i also have polycystic ovaries but ive maneged to lose over 4 stone to make it easier for my eggs to work. my step mum who is 32 has offered to carry my baby and she wants no money in return invove? we r looking at using my egg and his sperm. please help! i live in the uk. ive seen prices of 10,000 for first time. im just worried having polycysic ovaries it wont happen first time.

Unfortunately, since I am not familiar with prices in the UK, I cannot give you a ballpark range. In the United States, you'd be looking at upwards of $40,000 for a surrogacy without compensating your surrogate mother, as an estimate.

Fees for egg retrievals and transfers are hard to determine, as, like you mentioned, it might not work the first time. Or the second time. Or the third time. Then there are legal fees, court fees, medications, medical care for your surrogate, day to day pregnancy related expenses, travel if needed, etc.

Surrogacy is expensive. My advice would be to add up all the expenses you can think of, worst case scenario, and double the total.
