You do NOT need to be looking for a surrogate mother at this time. There is still a very large amount of information you need to learn. Look for a surrogate after you have thoroughly researched surrogacy, including the various procedures, legal requirements, costs, and information on what can go wrong.

The very first piece of information you need before considering surrogacy is to decide whether you wish to go through traditional or gestational surrogacy. With traditional surrogacy, the baby will have your boyfriend's DNA but not yours. With gestational surrogacy, the baby will have both your DNA and your boyfriend's unless you opt for an egg donor, which you might do, depending on the reasons you choose surrogacy.
