Information on Surrogacy

is it common for a surrogate to have little or no contact with the child or intended parents after birth of the child.

well if i were to become a surrogate i have 3 children of my own and would not want to use my own eggs but will gladly carry a child for someone else. i dont want to sound rude but i had the child for the other family and if the child is genetically theirs i wouldnt want to have any real connection with the child. i mean if later in life they want to meet me thats fine but i dont want to get in the way of the new family that i helped create.

Every surrogacy is different. Some surrogate mothers want to be involved in the children's lives; some do not. The only thing that is truly important is to find intended parents that feel the same way you do! It is more common for intended parents to desire a relationship like you've described than it is for surrogate mothers to, so just be open and honest and you will have no trouble matching.
