Asking if it is difficult for a woman to give up a baby is like asking if dark chocolate tastes good. Most people would tell you yes. But then people like me would tell you that it tastes horrible.
But that is where surrogacy is different. We're not asking a woman to give up a baby. A surrogate mother is giving BACK the child she has carried to the intended parents.
Most women who choose to become surrogate mothers know instinctively that it will not be difficult to give the baby back to his parents.
For me, it was not hard at all. It was a happy moment knowing that the child(ren) I had helped to bring into this world was finally able to start his life and meet his parents.
Most women who know they would have a difficult time with this never choose to become surrogate mothers.
