Information on Surrogacy

is it possible to get a surrogate if you already have a child?

we lost our 1st child at 34 weeks stillborn. Very lucky to fall preganant after & had our very special little boy Alfie. The hospital had to give me 8L of blood after the birth & a Hysterectomy to save my life, although they did leave my ovaries. Do you think anyone would consider being a surrogate for more children?????? I know we are blessed to have our Alfie & would love to be able to give him a brother or sister. sorry to ask

Absolutely, you can have a surrogate mother help to complete your family even if you already have a child (or more than one child) of your own. In fact, I am currently a surrogate mother to a couple who has a son.

There are some surrogate mothers who personally feel that they would prefer to help a couple who has no children, but that is a case by case basis, and not a rule across the board.
