Information on Surrogacy

What if I have my own surrogate mother?

Hello.. Thank you so much for taking my question.. My husband and I have been trying to conceive.. I did 3 IUI's and 2 IVF's and 1 FET.. I had an ectopic pregnancy with the FET.. We have 5 frozen embryos and my niece has been telling us that she would love to be our surrogate(god bless her heart)I was just wondering if our insurance should cover her and how much are we looking to pay if she is not charging a fee?? Thank you!!

What a nice niece you have! Your insurance company will NEVER cover a surrogate mother; her insurance company MIGHT cover the surrogacy.

As to the fees, you will save about $20,000 if she is not taking compensation. Otherwise, it will be the same as any other surrogacy.
