The eggs & sperm belong to the parents and people tell me (the surrogate mother) that the baby looks like me & a similar look to my kids? Why would this be if i have nothing to do with the DNA of the baby

The fact that a baby looks like "someone" has nothing to do with their DNA! For example, my son, as a baby, had blonde hair. My father (who adopted me when I was 4) also has blonde hair. We used to laugh at how many people would comment on the "strong family resemblance".
Its simply a coincidence. Nothing more. It has nothing to do with you being their surrogate mother. If you are still around the children and are getting the comments from those not involved in surrogacy, this sort of comment usually springs from ignorance.
Even if told they are not yours biologically, often those outside the surrogacy community still think deep down they are, or don't "get it". They may make such comments simply because they have no idea what else to say. Shoot, I've had nurses in my OB/GYN office, !NURSES!, who cannot understand how I'm not related to the baby!
Don't stress about it. Its just a coincidence.
