what to be a surrogate mother for my best friend and her husband!

i really want to give my best friend the gift of a child because she is unable to convice but do not know the costs. i wouldnt charge them whats so ever (using her eggs and his sperm) since they dont have much money, but know that there is other fees involved. could anybody give me information on how to do this and costs.

What a wonderful friend you are to consider becoming a surrogate mother - and an altruistic one at that - for your best friend and her husband.

Surrogacy is quite expensive, even without the costs of the surrogate mother's compensation added in.

If you are looking at gestational surrogacy, the fees are high, as IVF expenses, travel, and medications run in the thousands to tens of thousands of dollars.

You will still need a lawyer, as will your intended parents, and if you insurance does not cover the pregnancy then you will need medical insurance as well.
