I am in the process to become a surrogate but my main concern is how my kids will be affected. I have a 2 1/2 year old and 1 1/2 year old and I think my one year old is too young to understand but my 2 year old I think will catch what is going on. While I was pregnant with my other baby he would point to my stomach and say baby and kiss my belly. I was wondering what other surrogate mothers said to their kids while they were pregnant.

In general, kids understand surrogacy a lot better than adults, and aren't nearly as concerned or confused as we think they will be.
Your kids are still quite young. At this point, I'd just explain that mommy is helping her friend. You can tell them that your friend's (and use her name) tummy is broken and so mommy is growing her baby for her. And when the baby is born, she'll go home with her real mommy.
As the kids get older, you can explain more about the process. My kids were 5 & 7 the first time I was a surrogate. When a stranger would congratulate them on their new brother and sister to-be, they would very calmly explain that the twins were not ours, that we were helping a friend. It was very normal for them.
